In 2007, the first admission of students took place at the Information Technologies Vocational Training Centre. During this period of time up to 10 thousand specialists have been prepared in IT technologies.

“CISCO” Regional Academy

Since 2007 “CISCO” Regional Academy has been functioning at the College which offers theoretical and practical training courses based on modern methods in computer network technologies.

Electronic and Distance Learning System “Moodle” – in 2008 university entrants were enrolled for the first time in the education system by means of electronic testing in real time (online). Learning and test materials collected on the server - www.moodle.emis.ge are available not only for our college students.

“UNESCO-UNEVOC” International Centre

Since June 2, 2007 Vocational Academy “IT” was registered as an official representative of “UNESCO-UNEVOC“ International Centre in Georgia.

Acknowledged College

LEPL Vocational Academy “IT” was awarded by the Business Council of Information-Communication Technologies of Georgia and Government Commission Promoting e-Governance Development, as the winner of the nomination - "The Best Provider of IT Education”.

Innovative College

Single web portal - www.vet.ge, and web pages of individual academies, also a journal were created for the stakeholders of vocational education. Working on creating and establishment of other automated systems is ongoing.  

Close Partnership with the Business Sector

The Academy is in partnership with different organizations such as “the National Bank of Georgia”, “United Telecom of Georgia”, “Magticom”, “Alta”, “Orient Logic” and many others. As a result of this cooperation our students have the opportunity to take comprehensive internship and become competitive specialists. 

Social Responsibility

Under the guidance of the Academy trainers, trainings are periodically conducted for teachers of vocational academies in the field of information and communication technologies (ICT) and they are provided with appropriate methodological materials.

In 2012, after reorganization of Vocational Academy “IT” Education Management Information System (EMIS) was created, apart from educational function, its goal is to develop information technologies infrastructure in Georgia, provision of availability of modern information-communication technologies, establishment of information-communication technologies, their monitoring and evaluation.
